Selecting the right hydraulic fluid is critical, hinging on understanding the operating temperature relative to ambient conditions. In closed circuits, this means considering circuit temperature. The
ideal hydraulic fluid ensures that operating viscosity stays within the optimal range, clearly indicated by the shaded area on the selection diagram. We advocate choosing a higher viscosity class whenever possible. For instance, at an ambient temperature of X°C, the corresponding operating temperature of 60°C places you in the optimal viscosity range with VG 46 or VG 68; the recommended choice is VG 68. Always remember, the case drain temperature, influenced by pressure and speed, surpasses circuit temperatures, and must not exceed 115°C anywhere in the system. Should these conditions be unattainable due to extreme operating conditions.
Hydraulic fluid:
Prior to project initiation, consult our comprehensive data sheets RE 90220 (for mineral oil), RE 90221 (for environmentally friendly hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (for HF hydraulic fluids) for exhaustive details on fluid selection and application scenarios. It's imperative to note that the variable pump A4VG is incompatible with HFA, HFB, and HFC. When opting for HFD or eco-friendly hydraulic fluids, adhere strictly to the technical data and seal limitations outlined in RE 90221 and RE 90223. Please specify the hydraulic fluid in use when placing your order.
