Details regarding the choice of hydraulic fluid:
Choosing the ideal hydraulic fluid involves understanding the relationship between the operating temperature and the ambient temperature, especially in a closed circuit system. The

hydraulic fluid must ensure that the operating viscosity remains within the optimal range, as indicated by the shaded area in the selection diagram. It's advisable to opt for a higher viscosity class whenever possible. For instance, at an ambient temperature of X °C, with an operating temperature of 60 °C, the optimal operating viscosity range aligns with viscosity classes VG 46 or VG 68; hence, VG 68 should be selected. Note: The case drain temperature, influenced by pressure and speed, will always exceed the circuit temperature. System temperatures should not surpass 115 °C under any circumstances. This is crucial if meeting the specified conditions is challenged by extreme operating parameters.
Hydraulic fluid:
Before embarking on project planning, consult our comprehensive data sheets RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) to gain in-depth insights into the selection of hydraulic fluid and applicable conditions. The variable pump A4VG is not suitable for use with HFA, HFB, and HFC. If using HFD or environmentally friendly hydraulic fluids, adhere strictly to the technical data and seal limitations outlined in RE 90221 and RE 90223. Please specify the hydraulic fluid used when placing an order.
