Details regarding the choice of hydraulic fluid:
Choosing the ideal hydraulic fluid requires an understanding of how operating temperatures relate to ambient conditions, especially in closed circuits. It's essential to ensure the operation viscosity aligns within the optimal range, indicated by the shaded area on the selection diagram.

We always recommend opting for a higher viscosity class. For instance, at an ambient temperature of X°C with an operating temperature of 60°C, the optimal viscosity classes are VG 46 or VG 68, with VG 68 being preferable. An important note: The case drain temperature, influenced by pressure and speed, exceeds the circuit temperature, and must never surpass 115°C.
Hydraulic fluid:
Before planning your project, consult our data sheets RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) for comprehensive guidelines on selecting hydraulic fluids and application conditions. Note that the variable pump A4VG is not suitable for HFA, HFB, and HFC operations. If using HFD or environmentally friendly fluids, adhere to the technical data and seal limitations as outlined in RE 90221 and RE 90223. When placing an order, please specify the hydraulic fluid being used.
