Choosing the ideal hydraulic fluid demands an understanding of the operating temperature in relation to ambient conditions, especially in a closed circuit scenario. The
hydraulic fluid must be selected to ensure that the viscosity remains optimal across the operating temperature range, aligning with the shaded recommendation on the selection diagram. We advise selecting the higher viscosity class wherever applicable. For instance, with an ambient temperature of X °C and an operating temperature of 60 °C, the optimal range (shaded) corresponds to VG 46 or VG 68, thus VG 68 is recommended. Be aware: The case drain temperature, influenced by both pressure and speed, will always exceed the circuit temperature. No part of the system should exceed 115 °C. If these conditions cannot be adhered to due to extreme operating environments.
Hydraulic fluid:
Prior to commencing project planning, consult our detailed data sheets, specifically RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (eco-friendly hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) to make informed decisions about hydraulic fluid selection and application criteria. Note that the variable pump A4VG is incompatible with HFA, HFB, and HFC. If you opt for HFD or environmentally friendly hydraulic fluids, adhere strictly to the technical data and seal limitations detailed in RE 90221 and RE 90223. When placing an order, clearly state the hydraulic fluid being utilized.
