Selecting the appropriate hydraulic fluid necessitates understanding the operating temperature relative to the ambient temperature, specifically in a closed circuit. The aim is to ensure that the operating viscosity, within the operating temperature range, remains within the optimal range-illustrated as the shaded area in the selection diagram. It is advisable to select a higher viscosity class for assurance. For instance, at an ambient temperature of X°C, a target operating temperature of 60°C is achieved. Within the optimal operating viscosity range (shaded area), this corresponds to viscosity classes VG 46 or VG 68; the preferable choice being VG 68. Note: The case drain temperature, influenced by pressure and speed, exceeds the circuit temperature. The system's temperature must never surpass 115°C. These parameters must be maintained to ensure safe operations under extreme conditions.
Hydraulic fluid details:
Prior to project planning, consult our data sheets RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (eco-friendly hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) to gain comprehensive insights on selecting hydraulic fluid and application conditions. Note that the variable pump A4VG is unsuitable for operation with HFA, HFB, and HFC. When using HFD or environmentally safe hydraulic fluids, adhere to the limitations on technical data and seals as outlined in RE 90221 and RE 90223. Also, specify the hydraulic fluid in use when placing orders.
