Details regarding the choice of hydraulic fluid:
Selecting the ideal hydraulic fluid is crucial and requires an understanding of the operating temperature in relation to ambient conditions: specifically, the circuit temperature in a closed system.
The hydraulic fluid selection should ensure that the operating viscosity within the temperature range remains optimal, as indicated in the shaded area of the selection diagram. Opt for the higher viscosity class when in doubt. For instance, with an ambient temperature of X°C and an operating temperature of 60°C, the optimal viscosity classes VG 46 or VG 68 are advised; select VG 68. Remember, case drain temperatures influenced by pressure and speed will exceed the circuit temperature, and no system temperature should surpass 115°C. Should these conditions prove challenging due to extreme parameters, adjustments are necessary.
Hydraulic fluid:
Prior to project initiation, consult our data sheets RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) for comprehensive guidance on fluid selection and application specifics. Note that the variable pump A4VG is incompatible with HFA, HFB, and HFC fluids. If utilizing HFD or environmentally friendly fluids, adhere to the technical constraints and seal specifications outlined in RE 90221 and RE 90223. When placing an order, please specify the hydraulic fluid in use.
