Details regarding the optimal choice of hydraulic fluid:
Selecting the appropriate hydraulic fluid is crucial and requires understanding the operating temperature in relation to the ambient temperature, particularly in a closed circuit where the circuit temperature is a key factor. The

hydraulic fluid must ensure the operating viscosity remains within the optimum range, represented by the shaded area on the selection diagram. It is advisable to choose a higher viscosity class whenever possible. Example: With an ambient temperature of X °C, if the operating temperature is 60 °C, the viscosity classes VG 46 or VG 68 are ideal, with VG 68 being the preferred choice. Remember: The temperature at the case drain, influenced by pressure and speed, will always exceed the circuit temperature. Under no circumstance should the system temperature exceed 115 °C. It is imperative to maintain these conditions, even under extreme operating parameters.
Hydraulic fluid:
Prior to embarking on project planning, consult our comprehensive data sheets RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (environmentally friendly hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) for in-depth guidance on selecting the right hydraulic fluid and understanding application conditions. Note that the A4VG variable pump is incompatible with HFA, HFB, and HFC fluids. When utilizing HFD or environmentally friendly hydraulic fluids, the technical data constraints and seal requirements specified in RE 90221 and RE 90223 must be adhered to. Ensure to specify the hydraulic fluid used when placing orders.
