Guidance on Selecting the Optimal Hydraulic Fluid:
The optimal choice of hydraulic fluid demands an understanding of the operating temperature concerning the ambient temperature, especially in a closed circuit where circuit temperature is critical.

Select a hydraulic fluid such that its operating viscosity remains within the optimal range, highlighted as the shaded area on the selection diagram. For optimal results, select the higher viscosity class. For instance, at an ambient temperature of X °C with an operating temperature of 60 °C, this corresponds to viscosity classes VG 46 or VG 68. Opt for VG 68. Note: The case drain temperature, influenced by pressure and speed, will always exceed the circuit temperature. System temperature must remain below 115 °C. Adhere to these conditions to ensure optimal performance.
Hydraulic Fluid Recommendations:
Before initiating project planning, consult our detailed data sheets: RE 90220 for mineral oil, RE 90221 for environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids, and RE 90223 for HF hydraulic fluids. These will guide you in selecting the appropriate hydraulic fluid and understanding application conditions. Note: The variable pump A4VG is incompatible with HFA, HFB, and HFC fluids. For HFD or environmentally friendly fluids, adhere to the technical data and seal limitations outlined in RE 90221 and RE 90223. Please specify the hydraulic fluid in use when placing orders.
