Guidelines on Selecting Hydraulic Fluid:
To choose the right hydraulic fluid, consider the operating temperature in relation to ambient temperature, as well as the closed circuit temperature. The
fluid must maintain optimal viscosity within the operating range, as indicated by the shaded area in the selection diagram. We recommend opting for the higher viscosity class for reliability. For instance, with an ambient temperature of X °C, and a set operating temperature of 60 °C, the optimal viscosity classes VG 46 or VG 68 should be selected. Choose VG 68. Note: The case drain temperature, influenced by pressure and speed, exceeds the circuit temperature. It must never surpass 115 °C anywhere in the system. If extreme operational conditions prevent these standards, adjustments must be made.
Hydraulic Fluid Guidance:
Prior to project planning, consult our detailed data sheets: RE 90220 for mineral oil, RE 90221 for environmentally friendly hydraulic fluids, and RE 90223 for HF hydraulic fluids. These documents will assist in selecting the appropriate hydraulic fluid and understanding application conditions. Note that the variable pump A4VG is incompatible with HFA, HFB, and HFC. If using HFD or eco-friendly fluids, adhere to the technical data and seal limitations in RE 90221 and RE 90223. Always specify the hydraulic fluid used when ordering.
