Selecting the correct hydraulic fluid is crucial, taking into account the interplay between operating and ambient temperatures: particularly within a closed circuit. The
hydraulic fluid must ensure the operating viscosity remains within the optimal range - indicated by the shaded segment of the selection diagram. Opt for the higher viscosity class when possible. Illustration: With an ambient temperature of X °C, an operating temperature of 60 °C aligns with the optimal range for viscosity VG 46 or VG 68; thus, VG 68 is advisable. Important: Case drain temperature, influenced by pressure and speed, surpasses circuit temperature. System temperatures must not exceed 115 °C. If these conditions are challenging due to extreme parameters, adjustments are necessary.
Hydraulic fluid:
Prior to project commencement, consult our data sheets RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (eco-friendly hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) for intricate details on hydraulic fluid selection and usage conditions. Note that the variable pump A4VG is incompatible with HFA, HFB, and HFC. Usage of HFD or eco-friendly fluids must adhere to the technical and sealing stipulations found in RE 90221 and RE 90223. Kindly specify the hydraulic fluid in use when placing orders.
