The perfect hydraulic fluid choice hinges on understanding the operating temperature in conjunction with the ambient conditions: within a closed circuit, this translates to the circuit temperature. The
selected hydraulic fluid must ensure that the operating viscosity sits comfortably within the optimum range depicted in the selection diagram's shaded area. We advocate for opting for the higher viscosity class whenever feasible. For instance, with an ambient temperature of X °C, an operating temperature of 60 °C is established. In the optimal operating viscosity range (shaded area), this aligns with viscosity classes VG 46 or VG 68; hence, VG 68 is advised. Reminder: The case drain temperature, influenced by pressure and speed, invariably exceeds the circuit temperature. Under no circumstances should any system temperature exceed 115 °C. Should maintaining the above conditions be challenging due to extreme operational parameters.
Hydraulic Fluid:
Prior to initiating project planning, consult our comprehensive data sheets RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) for extensive insights on hydraulic fluid selection and application conditions. It's important to note that the variable pump A4VG is not compatible with HFA, HFB, and HFC. Should HFD or environmentally conscious hydraulic fluids be employed, adhere strictly to the technical data and seal limitations specified in RE 90221 and RE 90223. Ensure to specify the hydraulic fluid in use when placing orders.
