Guidelines for the optimal hydraulic fluid selection:
To ensure the utmost efficiency, the selection of hydraulic fluid must consider operating temperatures relative to the ambient temperature, specifically the circuit temperature in closed systems.

It is crucial to choose a hydraulic fluid that maintains optimal viscosity within the operating temperature range, as denoted by the shaded area on the selection diagram. We advocate for selecting the higher viscosity class whenever possible. For instance, with an ambient temperature of X °C and an operating temperature of 60 °C, the ideal viscosity classes VG 46 or VG 68 fall within the optimum range; select VG 68. Note: Due to the impact of pressure and speed, the case drain temperature will always be higher than the circuit temperature. Importantly, no system component should exceed a temperature of 115 °C, especially under extreme operating conditions.
Hydraulic Fluid Recommendations:
Prior to initiating project planning, consult our extensive data sheets: RE 90220 (mineral oil), RE 90221 (eco-friendly hydraulic fluids), and RE 90223 (HF hydraulic fluids) for comprehensive guidance on hydraulic fluid selection and application conditions. Note that the variable pump A4VG is not compatible with HFA, HFB, and HFC. Should you opt for HFD or eco-friendly hydraulic fluids, adhere to the technical data and seal limitations specified in RE 90221 and RE 90223. Crucially, always specify the hydraulic fluid used when placing your order.
